A platform for people to have their creative voices heard by contributing poetry, artwork, stories and points of view
We would like to hear your views if you:
- live or work in London and have experienced mental health issues; or
- care for others who have experienced mental health issues.
We launched our Speakeasy magazine in 2010 for people in hospital giving them a place to write, talk and express themselves. Speakeasy closed in 2018 as the funding ended. We would like to expand the reach of a similar magazine for people in hospitals and in the community, but we need to know what you think.
We believe that providing this kind of creative platform for people to express their views through different mediums can really help recovery. Your feedback will help us to find out if there is enough interest. If you tell us there is, we will seek new funding and launch a new magazine.
Get involved
Please have a look at examples of our Speakeasy magazines and fill in our short survey by Monday 1 April, 10am.
Focus groups
We will be holding several focus groups across London. Please email if you are interested in attending a focus group.
Thank you, we look forward to hearing your views.
Draw rules – Each person who attends a focus group or fills in the online survey can ask to be entered into the draw once, even if they attend the focus group and also fill in the survey. There is no cost to enter the draw. There is one book token to the value of £50 on offer. The closing date of the draw is Monday 1 April 2019, 10am. The draw will take place at 10am on Thursday 4 April 2019. We will attempt to notify the winner of the draw by email on 4 April 2019 or as soon after as possible. You must supply your email address or phone number so we can contact you if you win.
