Safeguarding training

We run safeguarding training and consultancy for people at all levels, from frontline staff to managers, safeguarding leads and those at senior management / board level responsible for governance.

Our courses

We offer the following training courses – and we develop bespoke programmes to meet the needs of your organisation.

Introduction to safeguarding: A short training session for everyone who comes into contact with children or adults at risk. This course focuses on possible signs of abuse or neglect, and what to do if you’re concerned about someone’s wellbeing.

Safeguarding peer mentor training: What does being safe mean in everyday life? An interactive session to build awareness and knowledge in the community so people are able to support each other to stay safe.

Training for safeguarding leads: This in-depth course equips safeguarding leads with the skills, knowledge and confidence to help others keep people safe. Participants will focus on relevant legislation, guiding others through procedures and best practice.

Contemporary issues in safeguarding: This course for managers and safeguarding leads explores trends and emerging issues (for example cuckooing), and dilemmas in safeguarding including the balance between self determination/autonomy and best interest.

Safeguarding and governance: A short, high impact session aimed at board members focusing on good governance and the role of the board in relation to safeguarding.
